Well this weekend me and the kids made some gingerbreadmen and 1 man haha. The kids had fun with it I couldn't keep them from grabbing them I think they just wanted to eat their heads. Well no idea how this happened but 1 out of the whole batch was in fact a Gingerbread Man lol wonder if it would bring millons to ebay haha

Quilt Poem
This was in the Fons & Porter newletter thought I'd share:
The fabric of our vision submitted by Jane Adams.
Quilting is a way of life, not just a hobby. Those of you who have not had the joy of the experience,Have not seen what I see in the world around me.I see quilts everywhere, just waiting to be enjoyed. Not the fabric kind, but the living, breathing happenings in my life.I see friends in need, friends indeed, friends with no borders. Some have yet to be discovered by needle and thread.Flowers, trees, people, weed gardens, urban sprawl and hidden treasures,Beg to be shared with all who take the time to stop and look. The sheer joy of creating something out of a few swatches of cotton color,Makes me happy when someone else sees what I found to be so lovely.Even if you only quilt in your mind, you share the passion that we quilt-makersEnjoy by connecting all those beautiful sights into one elegant coverlet,To be marveled by all those who pass and desire to touch the fabric of our vision.

Been updatin
I'm still trying to figure all the little features to this bloggin thing lol, I got on Twitter & updated I usually try to post sales on there, which by the way everything in my store is 10% 10 days only. I figured out how to add Twitter to my blog to so I'm coming along lol
Been a busy few weeks I took a few days last week & went thrifting with my mom & aunts & grandmother which were visiting from out of town then Sunday I spent 6 hours in the kitchen canning salsa I wanted to make 3 batches but ended up with 2 batches of salsa, 2 batches of pepper relish, 3 jars of this pepper sauce which ended up sweet UGH! then I made some pickled jalapeno's some chopped some whole, then lastly some pickled okra which I don't eat any way but fried! I just wanted to give it a try, The okra I did the nite before which that only took a few min. the salsa is a huge mess & alot more to it. 6 hours in the kitchen & 1 jar only takes my hubby 5 min to devour! But its good. I'll try to post a recipe later for the pepper relish & salsa.

Snake!!!
We got home from going to the thrift store the other day & thank goodness the kids were asleep in the car when we pulled up at my mom's. Mother goes to unlock the door & looks in her back yard & there is a huge rattlesnake crawling thru her backyard! Right where the kids play! She called a neighbor to come kill the darn thing. This particular kind is a velvet back he was just over 3 foot long & had 9 rattlers & a button. His tail was black & he was about as big around as a 12 oz can if not bigger. Thank goodness the only snakes I've seen around the house has all been chicken snakes & we've killed about 3 of those only cause of the kids but my mom is more in the woods than we are so they are a little more common there.

Marshal's Tractor(S)
Well here is the damage & I'll have to tell ya the pics don't show how good I really did! I barely hit the darn thing to, also the hood & bucket were not on it so no I didn't rip it off to!
Here is Marshal on the brand new JD#2 lol this is a ls model it has arm rests, it didn't come with a roll bar so papa took it off the old one & added it to it, the hood can also be change out with the old one to put a bucket on it he never used the bucket anyway. But now we have 2 batteries so less worry of a battery going dead. He's a happy kid now & thats all that matters to me & he never shed a tear over the whole thing :)

Big Uhhhh-oooooooo
Well today started off really bad!! I got up gonna go to wal-mart to buy groceries, got ready to go got in my car which was parked in the 2 parking spot in out carport & its usually in the 1st one. Backed out just fine, then instead of turning left to go down the driveway I went strait I was at a different angle than usual. Well when I went about 2 feet if that I heard something I thought please oh please don't be what I think that is, then I put it in reverse & still heard the noise. I had a bad feeling in my stomach. I got out & there was little Marshal's tractor it looked awful the front tires were side ways & about a foot apart more that usual. I went back in the house & told Adam what happened I wasn't gonna hide it from Marshal either, no point in it cause he's gonna see it, All he kept saying was ya wanta look at it so we went out at this point I'm fighting back tears none yet but fighting them! He looks at it & says Moma ran over your tractor & I told him I was on my way to buy him another one, thank goodness I sold my tanning bed! SO I go in to get online & transfer some money her come the Dh, DD, & Marshal well he walks up to me & says "it'll be ok moma " & hugs me, Well there went the tears all the wya to Wal-mart till I got him another one. This one don't have a bucket but luckily the old one didn't have the bucket on it at the time so Adam can change the hoods out & he can still use the bucket if he wants to. So he's happy & never cried & loves his new tractor. Don't have a pic yet I'll try to post the damage in a day or so....

Quilt's ready for quilting!
Here is my log cabin quilt! 1.5 inch strips I am so glad this top is done the border is not what the pattern called for it didn't turn out right so I just did solid strips of what I had left & made the border out of that.
This is my breast cancer quilt I like one more border & its done just waiting on the fabric to arrive! I'm going to donate this (although the people don't know it yet) to a car show that comes around to the area. my husband is friends with the guy thats dad puts it on his mom survived breast cancer so I thought it would be a good cause.
They should be headed out to Sam next week!
Have a great 4th of July weekend!

I'm making it with Moda Civil War Crossings fabric with blue, pink, & brown with a little bit of red in the fabric I love that triangle paper to! I had some 1.5 inch paper in my store so I bought a pack from myself lol I think I'll be able to save a good bit more fabric by using it to!
I tried to get my camra to work so I could put a pic of it up but I guess the batteries I just put in it are bad to! UGH
